I was at the Pentagon two weeks ago, and bought a souvenir coffee cup, brought it home, took off the price tag, and saw that it was made in China. It is bad enough that China sells us much need rare earth metals, needed for computers and weapons operations, now it provides us with a morning reminder, of our dependence on Beijing. What is wrong with this? What does China import from America that is needed for her weapons operations, and a monday morning wake up? 

Netanyahu vs Kerry

Well, is John Kerry or Benjamin Netanyahu America's Secretary of State. The Israeli Prime Minister denounced the agreement as "an historic mistake for the world." Kerry and much of the world do not share this view, and why should the American Congress share this view. Is Congress a subset of the Knesset in Jerusalem or is America still independent? Washington's goals should be to stabilize and balance the Middle East, not to accommodate a country who proclaims she is America's best ally. That is a very hard claim to prove. There is an expression, "the tail wags the dog." Washington need be no one's puppy. Let's see how much influence AIPAC has, and how much backbone Congress has.
